The Museum Of UnCut Funk

I just got finished visiting The Museum of UnCut Funk, a site dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the Funk. We here at the Black Superhero Blog have always had a soft spot for the Funk and this site doesn't dissapoint. With its series of Funky blogs, exhibits, and online community they seem to have it all covered. There is even have a section about Black Comic Books. It's a pretty ambitious project all in all. Check them out.

The Actual Super Adventures of Barack Obama

I've always liked the Jib Jab videos, especially the ones where you can put your own face in them. I also like most are the ones that poke fun at politicians. This one's called "He's Barack Obama", and in it he is definitely a Superhero. It's hella corny but I really like this one. What do you think?

Monet St. Croix - The Black Mutant Supergirl

Monet Yvette Clarisse Maria Therese St. Croix or "M" as she is often called is a super powered mutant in the Marvel Comics universe. She has so many powers and such potential that her sheer arrogance is almost forgivable. She has super strength, speed, hearing, and the ability to fly. In addition to that she has the power of telepathy, is nigh-invulnerable, and even has a healing factor, oh and she's really smart too.

Image's Free Agent

Who's this new Free Agent guy? I've never heard of him. Apparently President Obama calls on him to battle Terrorists in Afghanistan. I'll have to watch and see what Image Comics does with this character. You can read more about his latest appearance here. I'd be interested to hear what you think. Does he have potential?

Another Black Superhero Montage

It's tastefully done and includes some characters I haven't touched on yet. I'm especially happy that this blog has been included in the credits.

Superhero Short Film

I ran across this short film trailer during one of my daily trips through Google. It seems to be written by someone in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this short film, a young African boy stumbles upon what he believes is a Superhero. The trailer is short but long enough to pique my interest. It's obvious that there's more going on than what than what the eye beholds. What do you think? Take a look for yourself:

As far as I can tell the official site for the film is here. You can find out a little more about the film here.
