Monet St. Croix - The Black Mutant Supergirl

Monet Yvette Clarisse Maria Therese St. Croix or "M" as she is often called is a super powered mutant in the Marvel Comics universe. She has so many powers and such potential that her sheer arrogance is almost forgivable. She has super strength, speed, hearing, and the ability to fly. In addition to that she has the power of telepathy, is nigh-invulnerable, and even has a healing factor, oh and she's really smart too.

great entry. M is an example of a REALLY well-concieved character of color. if people took advantage of/supported the ones that exist (or at least KNEW bout them), there would be a lot less complaining!

great work, Wallruss!

Um, newsflash: M ISN'T BLACK, she's half-Bosnian (White) and Algerian (NORTH African people aka Moors closer related to Spaniards and Italians.) Saying she's African-American is the same as saying Charlize Theron is African-American meaning it's based on location instead of ethnicity.

She only looks Black because the artists aren't paying attention to either ethnicity or her previous appearances where she looked more like Emmanuel Chiriqui.

I never said she was African-American. I said she was Black. Also I don't agree with your assessment of her heritage and because you posted anonymously we can't really have a dialog to discuss it can we? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

1. Monet was born in Bosnian... Her parents are Algerian and Moroccan according to canon.

2. Coloring is subjective... (ex. http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showpost.php?p=10861829&postcount=1246 )

3. When one looks at an American "Dollor Bill" We all agree it's green... Then why is so hard to agree that two people of the same complexion and hue are the same color no matter what part of the world they come from?

Addendum: As a Blackman I can say... Charlize Theron was born in Africa and became a US citizen in 2007 that makes her by definition "African American".

Seriously. If you google, "Email from M creator," theres a thread where someone sent an email to the creator and asked if M was black or algerian or white. He said she was flat out BLACK. Stfu.
